Amsterdam is a capital of Netherlands.
Lyon is the second largest city in France.
And I traveled these three cities in February.
Berlin is a new and old city with many histories.
New part of Berlin is an artistic and active.
But the old part of Berlin is dark.... They don't hide or delete their dark histories.
I was moved such effort to memorize them. There are some debris of walls of Berlin in the city. They also have a museum to tell the truth of dark history. And I felt that it is not "past". People still have some problems from the historical events.
I liked Pergamon museum in Berlin. Especially, the panorama of Pergamon, which is exhibit only until September 2012, was great! We can see the 360degree panoramic view of ancient city of Pergamon and the light changes in the morning and in the evening.
In Amsterdam, I was surprised that the central station is nice!
To see the shops around the canal was nice. And the cheese was delicious. Maybe as I live in Switzerland, I start to like the strong taste. So I bought the strongest and oldest cheese.
In Lyon, I met my friend from high school days and we walked together in the city. For me, it was 6th time for visiting the city but it was the first time for her. She was happy to see the market on Sunday and took pictures with my camera.
The roasted chickens in the market are so usual for me. However, my friend lives in England and she hardly finds such shop. That's why she took this photo. I know it is so delicious. Especially, the vegetables (normally potatoes) under the chicken absorb the juice of meet and they taste good.
I think it is better than specialty of Lyon (Lyonaise). Now, it is March. I have lived 4 years and 7 months in Geneva.
I will leave Geneva on 25th March. Once I get back to Japan and 3 days later, I will arrive at Hawaii. I miss Geneva and Europe, for sure. I have a lot of nice memories in Geneva.
